Any behavior that is disruptive to you, your classroom, or my teaching will not be tolerated. Disruptive behaviors include: getting out of your seat without permission, writing/passing notes, inappropriate use of BYOD, sleeping talking, being off task, and being disrespectful. 2. Starting Class: When you enter the classroom, you should go directly to your seat and begin your EOG Unit Vocabulary Word. If you are LATE, you will be asked to sign in on the tardy QR Code.
3. Moving Around the Room: If you need to get out of your seat to sharpen a pencil, get a tissue, or throw something away, you should wait until the teacher is finished speaking, and then get permission.
4. Leaving the Room: If you leave the room (go to the bathroom, locker, etc.), wait for an appropriate time, then raise your hand and ask. Please use the appropriate pass hanging on the hook by the door.
5. Make-up Work: If you are absent, it is YOUR responsibility to get any make-up work AND turn in any work to me personally. Assignments are to be turned in in a timely manner. You will be given 2 OOPS DAY PASSES PER EACH QUARTER!! The passes are to be stapled to the completed late work the very next day that the work is due. This one day late work will be graded for full credit.
6. Science Lab Activities: To ensure safety in the classroom during lab activities, students are expected to follow the Safety Rules and Lab Directions. Students who fail to stay on task, and follow these rules will be given an alternate written assignment. NOTE: YOU MUST SIGN AND RETURN THE LAB SAFETY AGREEMENT BEFORE YOU ARE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY LAB ACTIVITY.
7.Homework/Late Work: Homework is due at the beginning of class. It is to be turned into homework tray for your class period. All work should be written in pencil, or blue or black ink. Write the correct heading (name, date, and period), as well as the assignment title.

9. Cell Phone Usage: WMS is a BYOD school, however to minimize distractions, no personal devices are allowed in the Science Classroom unless previously specified that they will be needed. Parents and students will be notified at least a day in advance if a device is needed the following day for a classroom activity. Parents and students should make all after school arrangements, before students come to school, and not during class time via text. If a phone is out in class, the student will be told once to put the device away. The second time a device is out without authorization, a parent will be notified.
